Don't worry, the Fringe won't change

Following the publication of several articles about the Adelaide Fringe (The Advertiser, 19, 23 and 26/10/04), I want to assure its many supporters that the State Government has no intention of changing the basis of the Fringe as an open-access arts festival encouraging and supporting artists to develop and present their works across a wide range of art forms.
